What is ParcelPal?

ParcelPal is an on-demand delivery service that makes sending packages easy. Our software instantly connects you with all local couriers in your area.

WHERE IS PARCELPAL AVAILABLE?

ParcelPal is currently only available in Vancouver. We are launching across Canada in the coming months.

HOW MUCH DOES PARCELPAL COST?

On-demand delivery – $7.00 base + $0.75 per km after 4 km

Same day delivery – $4.00 base + $0.50 per km after 4 km

Scheduled delivery – $7.00 base + $0.75 per km after 4 km

We give 25 lbs free and then its a $0.05 charge per pound

Taxes and weight not included.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All payments are automated through our technology. The user may cancel the request without charges for up to 5 minutes after the courier has accepted the trip. Please read our terms and conditions here.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DELIVER?

Delivery times are variable and depend on your location and the service level you choose. On-demand deliveries will be completed in an hour within the designated area only and same day deliveries will be completed by 4:00pm. See designated areas.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?
  1. Go to www.parcelpal.com and click “sign up my business” on the home page. Alternatively, you can create an account from the business page.
  2. Click the “Sign In” button in the right hand corner and select the “Business” tab.  Sign in using the same information you used to create your account.
  3. Once you have logged in you will be asked to enter a credit card. Don’t worry, you will not be charged anything on your credit card and you can remove it at any time. Make sure you enable your location settings on your browser.
HOW DO I REQUEST A DELIVERY?

How to request a delivery

 

  • Under “Parcel Details” enter all information that is necessary to the package that you will be sending.  The “Destination Comment” box is viewed directly by the courier, so you can enter any information you deem as important in this box.  If you wish to be notified via text message via the status of your package, select the “Mobile” box on the right side of “Destination Phone Number”.

 

  • Simply enter the destination where you want the package to be picked up and dropped off too (be sure to add suite, PO box, etc. to help the courier find the destinations easier). If you are making multiple deliveries to the same locations, click the star on the pickup and drop off addresses as they remember previous locations.

 

  • After you have entered all of the parcel details, you can see your subtotal by clicking “Calculate Subtotal” and when you’re ready for your package to be picked up, click “Request Delivery”. In no time a courier will be there to pick up your order.
WHEN CAN I REQUEST DELIVERIES?

Please note that our cut off time is 1:00 pm for same day deliveries and 3:00 pm for on-demand deliveries. You can schedule a pickup at anytime, if it is after 3:00 pm pickup will be the following day.

How late do you deliver?

We are currently handling deliveries from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. All requests need to be made before 3:00pm in order for us to deliver it that day. But don’t worry, we are working tirelessly everyday to extend the delivery hours.

What areas do you deliver?

We currently service Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam and parts of North & West Vancouver. See map for more details.

Courier

How to become a driver?

You can apply to be a driver on our website at www.parcelpal.com or by clicking here. You must meet the following requirements:

  • Be 19 or older
  • Own a car, motorcycle or scooter
  • Provide valid driver’s licence and vehicle insurance
  • Have an Android smartphone or an iPhone 4 or later with a data package
  • Have at least 1 year of driving experience
  • Be willing to provide a Driver’s Abstract
  • Be willing to undergo a Criminal Record Check
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs
How do I get paid?

You can be paid through direct deposit or PayPal transfer, the choice is up to you. To setup your account visit paypal.com.

What type of insurance do I need?

Since each person has different needs for their insurance, we highly recommend that you go and speak to your insurance broker to see what’s best for you.

My App isn't working, what should I do?

If you app isn’t working please try the following:

  1. Update your phones firmware.
  2. Update the ParcelPal App
  3. Reinstall the ParcelPal App

If all else fails, give us a shout; we will figure it out!

Why do you need my birthday?

We collect your information as part of our verification process and is used solely to ensure you are who you say you are. We believe anyone and everyone can be a courier, regardless of age. We may also use this data to determine who is using our service.
